Draftfcb is launching a new magazine called Tommy Gun that will cover content around the underground art, technology, music and fashion scene in Chicago. Come up with an engaging distribution vehicle.

Idea

​I thought the rusted, grungy tone and texture of the "In Case of Fire, Break Glass" shells would make an interesting housing for the magazine. The copy "In Case of Banality, Shoot Glass," felt appropriate. The magazine is providing rich, alternative content, and we're playing with the idea that someone took a Tommy Gun attached to this housing and shot the glass to get the magazine. These are functional units that will be peppered throughout Chicago this year.
